Chaos took over the intersection of Central and Alondra Avenue in Compton as cars burned their tires and rounded out donut after donut. Soon after the group of people seen moving from the street to this Arco Gas Station on the corner.
Videos shows masked men smashing windows as dozens crowded around eventually pushing their way inside, helping themselves to drinks, snacks and anything they can get their hands on.
Neighbors who live close by say they saw the entire scene and it was upsetting to watch.
"They are doing donuts and they had their kids in there and that is not safe for nobody," said Norrice Hearon, a neighbor. "That is reckless and that is child endangerment."
Compton Sheriff's Station say it this incident was just one street takeover in the city of Compton Saturday night and Sunday morning. Another one took place at Alondra and Grandee, police say shots were fired and luckily no one was injured. Another one took place on the 800 block of Rosecrans, police say near a laundromat that was broken into.
Police also say that thieves broke into two Mexican restaurants near Long Beach and Rosecrans. Now the business owners are cleaning up the mess left behind. The sheriff's office says they are investigating the incident and so far no arrests have been made.
Frustrated neighbors says that the street takeovers have to stop.
"It makes me angry when they do that and put everyone in danger, I don't like it," Hearon said.
Compton Mayor Emma Sharif said in a statement that the city if working to install more bots, used to deter street takeovers, at intersections.
"Public Safety continues to be the City of Compton's top priority," said Shari. "We plan to install more bots in busy intersections like Alondra Blvd. and Central Ave. as well as Long Beach Blvd. and Rosecrans Ave. We are looking into more engineering strategies to combat street takeovers and stop them from terrorizing our City.
"Residents can rest assured that the Sheriff's Department will have an increase in directed patrols throughout the City and surrounding County areas, to ensure theft from businesses does not occur. The Sheriff’s Department mission is to eradicate street takeovers, arrest, and cite individuals who participate in these events in the City of Compton. We remain committed to working with the Sheriff's Department, local businesses, and the community to deter acts like these."

The first touched down Thursday at 8:45 a.m. in Carson and lasted a minute, with estimated peak winds of 75 mph, the agency said. Minor damage to vehicles, trees and buildings – with small sections of roofing torn off – was reported.

About 10 minutes later, a second tornado touched down about 9 miles to the north in Compton and lasted four minutes, with peak winds estimated at about 65 mph, the weather service said. Downed power lines and small tree limbs, tarps torn from a nursery and minor roof and siding damage were reported.
No injuries were reported, CNN affiliate KABC reported.
Both tornadoes were rated EF0s, the weather service said. Those are the least destructive, with damage typically including broken tree branches, damaged road signs and small, shallow-rooted trees getting pushed over. The Enhanced Fujita, or EF, Scale rates tornadoes from 0 to 5 by assessing damage to estimate wind speed.
On average California sees around nine tornadoes a year, Storm Prediction Center data shows – and Thursday’s tornadoes brought this year’s count in the state to nine. The United States averages over 1,200 tornadoes every year, with the most in Texas and Kansas.
When the tornado hit Thursday in Compton, Ernie Abundis had been working on the roof of a Target store, he told KABC.
“I felt the wind, and it was one of those situations where it was too quick to react, and I braced for impact,” he said. “Being a SoCal resident, I didn’t even want to call it a tornado right away. I was like, ‘No way this is happening,’ it actually ended up being one.”

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. - The National Weather Service confirmed an EF0 tornado touched down in the Carson-Compton area in Los Angeles County on Thursday morning after several residents observed unusual weather activity.
The latest twister comes as a cold spring storm swept through Southern California bringing gusty winds, thunderstorms, and downpours.
According to the NWS' Enhanced Fujita Scale (EF Scale), an EF0 tornado has recorded wind gusts between 65 and 85 mph.
NWS officials added they were able to confirm the "brief weak" tornado based on photographic and video evidence that showed swirling debris beneath the updraft base of a thunderstorm.

Images from SkyFOX showed a downed tree, as well as at least two buildings and multiple vehicles damaged by the small tornado in Carson.
Meanwhile, about nine miles northeast of Carson, a resident captured video of the rare weather event in Compton.
No injuries have been reported by authorities.
In late March, multiple buildings were damaged after an EF1 tornado swept through Montebello, which was the strongest tornado to hit the LA area in four decades. Many of the businesses that were hit remain on the road to recovery.

LOS ANGELES – The National Weather Service confirmed two EF-0 tornadoes touched down Thursday morning in the Carson-Compton area of Los Angeles County.
The two tornadoes touched down within three miles and 10-15 minutes of each other as thunderstorms raced through Southern California.
The first twister touched down in Carson at 8:45 a.m., only lasting about a tenth of a mile over a minute with a width of just 15 yards.
HOW ARE TORNADOES RATED? THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE EXPLAINED
Images from SkyFOX via FOX 11 Los Angeles showed a downed tree and at least two buildings damaged by the tornado, including some small sections of a roof removed. Some cars and trees were also found damage.
"It was a rumbling noise — I was really scared like my house was getting ready to blow up or something," said Lydia Williams who lives in the area. "It was really, really scary."
National Weather Service storm survey teams estimated the peak winds from the twister at 75 mph.
Just 10 minutes after the Carson tornado dissipated, a second tornado touched down just 3 miles away in Compton.
This twister was also about 15 yards wide, producing a narrow path of damage including a downed power line, minor damage to a home's roof and siding, while tearing tarps from a nursery in its path.
Storm surveyors estimated the tornado lasted about 4 minutes over its 1-mile-long path with a peak wind speed of just 65 mph.
There were no injuries reported with either tornado.
It's the third tornado to strike the Los Angeles area just this year. One person was injured and several buildings suffered damage when an EF-1 tornado struck the Montebello area on March 23.
