When our driver arrives, they will back our truck into the space where you would like your shipping container placed. Once we arrive, we will ensure that your container is delivered safely and securely. If placed on asphalt or pavement, we will use wood dunnage pads to make sure your ground surface is protected and the container is level.

Glendale Council PTA Honors Eight at Founders’ Day Event
Glendale, CA – The Glendale Council PTA honored Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – Burbank) and seven amazing public school supporters on Founders’ Day. Portantino received the Elected Official Honorary Service Award for his leadership on policies that improve learning outcomes for children and for his long-standing support of K-12 public education. In addition to Portantino, GUSD Administrative Secretary Christine Giannamore and the Eveleigh Restaurant received the Very Special Person Award. GUSD Parent Katrin Avanessians and Crescenta Valley High Science Teacher Orenda Tuason received the Honorary Service Award, and Hoover High School Spanish Teacher Rosendo Rojas received the Outstanding Teacher Award. GUSD Human Resources Director Dr. Kyle Bruich received the Outstanding Administrator Award and Retired GUSD Administrator Stephen Williams was given the Golden Oak Service Award.
“I want to congratulate all of the wonderful school supporters who received awards. They are making a positive difference for the health and wellbeing of our children and everyone who supports public education deserves our appreciation. I am proud to be a PTA member and to be in a position to advocate for children,” stated Senator Portantino. “I am grateful to the Glendale Council PTA members for their hard work, advocacy and dedication to our children. I’ve said it for years, if you want something done right, go to the PTA and ask for help. This is a tremendous institution and I am deeply appreciative of this honor.”
Senator Portantino has been a lifelong advocate of K-12 public school education. Since being elected to office, he has championed policies that place student wellbeing and success at the forefront of California’s legislative agenda – including later start times for high schools. This year, the Senator’s legislative agenda includes proposals for expanding behavioral health services in schools, mental health education and training for students and teachers, screening for risk of dyslexia, addressing language barriers for IEP students, and improving emergency safety procedures for students with special needs. He has also advocated for establishing a dishwasher grant program for K-12 schools to address the state’s single-use trash and waste crisis – an idea initiated and championed by the GUSD and Glendale environmentalists.

GCPTA serves as the governing body that oversees the activities of twenty-four school unit PTAs and serves the Units in their pursuit of PTA programs by providing training and facilitating the flow of information from PTA. THE Price Is Right has undergone a huge change in a major first for the show in its 50-year history.
Fans were saddened after it was announced that The Price Is Right would be would moving its production studios from its original location.
The legendary CBS game show will no longer be filmed in Television City, California, Deadline reported.
Television City is the Los Angeles complex where the show had been taped since its "1972 relaunch," according to the publication.
Fremantle, the company that produces The Price Is Right, will now film the show at Haven Studios, a "new facility" near Glendale, California.
Even though the show's studios aren't moving too far from their original spot, some fans are still bothered by the move, expressing their concerns online.
"Say WHAT?!? You mean to tell me that the network’s longest running daytime game show is leaving the Bob Barker Studio forever and ever? They can’t!...," one fan declared.
Another cosigned: "I can’t believe they would do such a thing."
A third added: "The Price is Right not at the Bob Barker studio? Sad day for TPIR fans."
Fans referred to the studio as the "Bob Barker studio" because Bob Barker, 99, iconically hosted The Price Is Right from 1972-2007.
Drew Carey, 64, has been hosting the show since Bob stepped down in 2007.
The Price Is Right revolves around contestants competing by identifying accurate pricing of merchandise to win cash and prizes.
In 1956, the first version of The Price Is Right was released on television with Bill Cullen as its host.
A few years later, the show aired its final episode in 1965.
Bob Stewart, the creator of the series, premiered a new version of The Price Is Right in 1972.
The premise of the game show requires contestants to make successive bids on merchandise prizes.
The goal is to bid closest to the actual retail price of the prize, without going over.
Contestants are chosen from the studio audience, and arrive on stage with the show's catchphrase: "Come on down!"
While many concepts from the first edition of the series were brought back for the reboot, new gameplay elements were also included.

Their dining space features covered outdoor seating, reminiscent of a Mediterranean courtyard and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Raffi’s Place is best known for their kabobs featuring meats that are hand-selected, hand seasoned and carefully grilled.
Some of their kabob entrees include filet mignon; lean ground beef; chicken; fish (like White Fish; Mahi Mahi; Fresh Scottish Salmon) and so forth.
The appetizer section of the menu features a variety of dips, such as hummus, Mast-o-Khiar (yogurt dip) and eggplant dips.
The salad section of the menu offers traditional Persian salads such as Shirazi salad, a mix of diced cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions in a lemon dressing. They also offer Greek salad and Caesar salad.
Their stews also popular inluding Gheimeh Bademjan (beef stew); Ghormesabzi (classic Persian stew with sautéed herbs and kidney beans); Fesenjoon (chicken stew made with walnuts and pomegranate molasses) and more).
Finish off with a dessert like a traditional Baklava (featuring filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts and sweetened with syrup) or rose flavored ice cream, served plain or as an ice cream sandwich.
We tried the Soltani Kabob plate which had one Barg Kabob (thin sliced filet mignon) and one Koobideh (ground beef) – both were juicy and perfectly grilled. The basmati rice was tasty and buttery. The Mahi Mahi kabob was OK – a bit dry for my liking.
We also enjoyed the eggplant and hummus dips which were flavorful and smooth.
We also tried Tan – a savory yogurt drink made with yogurt, cucumber, water, salt, and fresh herbs.
It’s a very busy restaurant but service was efficient and good. The priced seemed reasonable considering the quality of the food and the ambiance of the restaurant.
Overall, I would recommend giving Raffi’s Place a try.

Mini Kabob is a small mom-and-pop Armenian restaurant located in the heart of Glendale, California.
In 2021, Mini Kabob made it on the New York Time’s list of Best Restaurants in America. They’ve been featured many times in the press because of their delicious home-style Armenian fare.
The restaurant was first founded by a Persian American who owned the mechanic shop behind the building. His goal was to fulfill his craving for traditional mini ground beef kabobs served in Amernian lavash (thin flatbread).
In 1995, current owners Ovakim Martirosyan and his wife, Alvard Martirosyan, bought this business and never looked back. This couple works with their son, Armen, to create delicious, fresh kabobs daily. This family is welcoming and friendly offering home-style Armenian fare for customers.
While the interior of this no-frills joint is small, that’s only because all of the emphasis is on the food, making this a popular spot for takeout.
Guests particularly enjoy the tantalizing aromas as soon as they walk in.
They serve up quality meat such as ground beef/chicken; beef/chicken cutlet; beef shish pieces; chicken breast and thigh skewers; French cut lamb chops; falafel plates, and of course mini kabobs. They also offer homemade Egyptian style hummus, eggplant caviar, and cucumber yogurt.
When I got to Mini Kabob, Armen was at the counter and I told him it was our first time visiting. He asked for how many people (including kids) and I told him 4. He put together a variety of items for us to try and it came out to be around $70 (paid in cash).
We got an assortment of ground beef lule kabob; ground beef shish kabob; chicken thigh kabob; pork shish kabob; chicken breast shish kabob as well as fire-roasted jalapeños and tomatoes, hummus, onions with parsley, and rice.
The meats were so juicy, tasty and flavorful with spices.
There was also homemade Egyptian style hummus with a drizzle of lemon, oil and a sprinkle of red pepper.
We also tried the homemade fresh yogurt and cucumber mixed with a dash of dry mint.
The Greek salad featured fresh feta cheese with black olives on a bed of romaine lettuce, cucumber, and tomatoes, with red wine vinaigrette.
The charred vegetables were a nice touch.
They’re a busy spot so try to order ahead if you can. Can’t recommend them enough!

Founded in Hawaii in 2018 by siblings Hana and Nile Dreiling, Holey Grail is best known for its tropical flavors and sustainability-minded wares. The brand, which raised $9 million through venture capital financing for its current expansion, opened its first LA store in Santa Monica in December 2022. Holey Grail also operates stores in Hanalei and Honolulu.
According to a press release, the new 1,000-square-foot store includes a doughnut-making island, live taro plants, and a display fridge filled with “rotating local ingredients” like edible flowers, finger limes, and dragonfruit. Holey Grail Larchmont will offer a free Original Sin doughnut (maple, Hawaiian vanilla bean, and sea salt) with any doughnut purchase on Saturday, March 11 in celebration of the new location.
Holey Grail Donuts Larchmont is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Sweets queen Valerie Gordon is teaching three classes this spring at Valerie Confections in Glendale (1936 W. Glenoaks Boulevard, Glendale, CA 91201): Mastering Spring Cakes (March 25), Perfect Pies (April 29), and The Art of Jam-Making (May 20). Each two-hour class is limited to 20 participants and costs $200 per person.
Vegans visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood will no longer be deprived of Butterbeer. The amusement park recently began selling a dairy-free version topped with a creamy, plant-based froth. The non-alcoholic drink, with distinct butterscotch notes, comes in cold and frozen forms. Butterbeer can be purchased at Hog’s Head pub and Three Broomsticks restaurant.
Maciel’s Plant-Based Butcher & Deli and Gracias Madre, two of LA’s premier purveyors of plant-based cuisine, are joining forces on Tuesday, March 28 for a collaborative dinner starting at 7 p.m. at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood. Chef Diana Briscoe of Gracias Madre and chef Maciel Bañales Luna of Maciel’s will serve a four-course Mexican-inspired tasting menu. Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $125 per person
